Brand and marketing: what do you communicate?

  The brand and marketing communication cannot be sometimes as simply as we think.   What does a brand represent is linked to the development line in the production or service sector, what does it communicate is linked to marketing strategy and to the satisfaction of consumers that buy its products and services.  From my commercial brand was born a fork that it’s a writing space where meet all the background of persona branding and commercial brand but also what the professional man behind both of them thinks or wants to show about its work.   It was born so SPACEFORMDSGN as an evolution of name branding of commercial brand.  The words that compose this name branding are an english variation: “ SPACE ” “ FORM ” “ DSGN ”.    In this case I have preferred to preserve the contracted part and use the words of root in english to extend the marketing of brand to the global market.  In the evolution for writing I have preferred the contracted ...

Marketing: analysis and graphic representation

 


Before you decide to buy a domain it could be necessary to do some analysis on a web space in hosting and on which it’s possible to set a tool of analysis as Google analytics. 

I have collected these analysis previous the buying of domain in some videos and I have visualized my analysis graphically with some diagrams in a preliminary study. 

So in the next posts I will talk about analysis and graphic representation but also of other things tied to the classic question: is it better to have an online domain? 

Before to open an activity it’s necessary decide how to name the activity and in consequence to register a domain, but it’s necessary remember that we can have a web space also without a domain simply to buy an hosting on many platforms they offer it and they consent a third level. 

In particularly to a visitors not immersed in the technical aspect, it’s usefull to show graphically the important points of view of analysis, in addition these analysis are usefull in the case of presentations when we can ask for an economic investiments on our future activity tied to our domain so to show how our work is interesting in reality for someone. 

The more interesting aspect of this study is been securely the graphically representation of the real interactions in the time and which of disciplinary sector have attracted more flow. 

In my case, the first step is been a webcard online without domain with a contact form in which I preseted a curriculum vitae between written and visual, between work experience and portfolio with competitions and new graphic works. 

From the analys of that webcard I have represented an extract data in the annex images and it’s evident how out of Italy my web space have obtained more visualizations and I have given more importance to organic and direct traffic rather than the total traffic. 

The study obviously isn’t stopped with the first version of pre-buying of domain but it continued also after the buy of domain and for extention to the real interest recevied on the visual art and on the skills acquired as freelancer. 

 

My graphic representation is concentrated on geographic aspect or if you prefer on the global aspect of real users flow. 

I have prefered the graphic representation on extract data of some segments that I have retained more interesting so to exlude the non-real traffic. 

A real person arrives because you have shared the link or it searchs for you in the web, it’s tendentially organic and direct traffic and you recognize it because the person interacts on the work. 

From data of graphic representation, you can see that the real persons are arrived mainly from United States and Italy, France and United Kingdom. At the end of the grafic you can find however all geographic data to see the difference, in addiction I have added also a portion of Google analytics with more interesting segments, the referral segment and all the users. 

You don’t forget that the hosting platforms do marketing and they choose some profile more interesting that give them flow so the referral flow is tied to them and their marketing, it’s the motivation that I have extract the data.

Notes from creative journey: “The thinking behind design”

  I begin again to write after a long time of silence and after I have kept at a safe distance the world of writing.
