To be a self-employed worker: expenses of starting activity and management

Among the many things as self-employed worker I have inserted for ATECO codes, the main activity interested me more at the level of analysis and professional development.  It’s about organization and management not only for that I have built as visual artist, but also and expecially for the important step towards consultancy to third parts.  Among the many analysis in these years of self-employed worker I retain of particularly importance the expenses of starting activity and the expenses of management of the activity.  The expenses and the management aren’t indifferent and they are essential to understand the probabilities to hold not only the national market but also and expecially the global market.  It’s a way to evaluate the possible earnings commensurate to the management in the time and to evaluate the feasibility of self-employed work. Either in the case of starting the activity or management, the main cost is the official headquarters either for studi...

Architectures of place: the museums

Who of us at least one time in the life isn't been in a museum?  Among the museums I have chosen three of deconstructivist style that they represent the way in which the deconstructivist architecture relates to the urban context and integrates with it.  The first museum is the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao city in Spain of the architect Frank Gehry.  It's known particularly to architects and students of architecture as an example of deconstructivist architecture, it likes for its sinuous forms but especially because it's known to be an example of urban redevelopment of Bilbao harbor turning it as a pole of cultural attraction for the entire area.  It's known also to engineering technicians to be covered of titanium plate sheets that they change its colours in function of weather and sun exposure and to be designed with CATIA, advanced software of design and computing in aerospace industry.  In the museum there are works of artists as Richard Serra, Sol Lewi...

Abstract W | Cube City Nr 4: the background…

The Cube City Nr 4 represents morphologically a satellite city or rather the phenomenon that in urban planning is called conurbation: the cities near the great city are designed to decentralize the services and to decongest the great city in a prospective of expansion till to reach megaregions.  In the time the great city and the nearby ones they unite untill to lost completely their urban connotations and the configuration of many cities becoming a unique city called megacity.  All these small cities around the great city represent their satellites and are correlated the great city.  The small cities grow so according to their own urban plans and/or proceeding along the direction of expansion suggested from the great city.  It seems to live in a neighbourhood of a city but in reality you live in a city that it is part of a megaregion.  We have many megacities. I have choosen as examples four of these.  The first city is Biddhannagar, it was born to ...

Architectures of place: journey in the covered markets

In architecture there are many projects that they prove interesting solutions either as architectonic structures with their stylistic characteristics or as urban presence aimed to redevelop or regenerate neighborhoods.  As consequence, the redevelopment of portions of the city makes the neighborhoods become attractive centers where it’s the projectal operation, not only of social type but also of tourist type.  For this post I have choosen two itineraries for two covered markets.  These markets are taken in consideration not only for architectural operation but also for urban context.    If you are in Barcelona you could take in consideration the idea to visit the Santa Caterina Market of Miralles Tagliabue EMBT.  The architectural operation is known to architects for the forms and the structure but it attracts also other persons of other sectors for the particularity of the roof visible also from satellite maps.  The structure is...

Abstract W | Cube City Nr 3: the background…

The linear city is a city that in the time it’s grown along a terrestrial communication artery for commercial and trasportation motivation.  It has a lengthened and narrow form and it proceeds along a central axes that it’s an infrastructure of trasportation.  It’s born and was developed across a river or a maritime artery or across an infrastructural artery as railways or roads.   Its main characteristic is the linearity or rather growing in linear way and being lengthened and narrow. Soria y Mata , a spanish architect of nineteenth century, theorized this city with linear topology. He proposed the “ Ciudad Lineal ”, an settlement of definite width with a central axes of indefinite length.   In reality there are many historical cities so, that they proceed along a road or a river or a maritime artery, but in the time the urbanization has caused the lost of the distinguishing feature of linearity.  To can conserve this characteristic the cities have ...

From architecture to urban planning: the challenges of future

The classic connection old historical center – new expansion areas is probably one of the most contradictory debate either we see architecture or we see urban planning.  It isn’t easy to project in area near historical center for the collision that new opuses cause in the collective opinion but it’s still more difficult to realize new area in which the designers are free to experiment.  The questions on next future look at new expansion areas of our cities and our villages. The scenarios are many but it’s possible to enclose them in a congruent number that they have common features.  The architecture go down the stream of cycles and recycles, rather then to search for a fracture point with the past architecture,  the designers prefer often to take back on old style and adjust it for new supposed request of users proposing the style as innovative and with the supposed discurse that we cannot keep in consideration our architectural past.  Question: do we im...

Abstract W | Cube City Nr 2: the background…

The Cube City Nr 2 represents morphologically a radial or centric city or rather a reticulated with roads tracing that it drives to a central node where can present a square with important building of the city as a town hall, a cult place, another cultural building, a museum ora a theatre, we can say a centre from which roads tracing circulates in radial way.  The study is begun always from history and development in the centuries of this type of city in the urban planning.  The ideal city of Sforzinda hypothesized from Filarete represents one of the fortified radiocentric city most know, it is hypothesized in the stellar form and enclosed from city walls.  To be radiocentric couldn’t say there weren’t one or two main axis in the reticulated of the roads, or rather it’s enough common to have walls of fence on the external part to protect during war from raids of enemies.   Many of historical urban centers keep still the centric plant in some porti...

Abstract W | Cube City Nr 1: the background...

In the introduction to this pubblication I have pinned a series of arguments on which to write future posts. To all creatives the main request is to write about the background of own work because the author is always the better person who can explain his own work.  I begin with Abstract W | Cube City.  I have explained in a previous post that the project in the complex have to do a different thing, but as the creative coder know well with the codes not always the programming works so.  Where the cube city is born?  It’s born from the morphologic analysis and the trasformation of the cities in the time. The creative version is an artistic way to explain the techniques that in architecture and urban planning could be difficult.  The first city I have imagined is Abstract W | Cube City Nr 1, or the grid city that in urban planning is a reticulate of road layout that they intersect in a regular and ortogonal way.  I’m starting from the study of Ippodamus...

Urban landscapes between staticism and dynamism

At present in architecture in Italy it’s necessary decision making that in the existing istitutions and clients quite missing.  In the new area of expansion of our cities in the twentieth century to resolve the crisis of accomodations post war and post worker immigration it’s arrived yet another quantity of low quality architectures leaving the usual unsolved puzzle of expansions.  In the current suburbs it’s evident the problem of urban renewal together the creation of service for citizen not still available.  The designers often prefer get caged in overcome discussions rather than deal with problems of real request of society or prefer don’t decide on development path deal for major questions rather than delude the ranks of supporters accumulated in the time.   In our society with age-old story, designers prefer to talk about troublesome accademic discussion as the identity of italian architecture rather than modern style.  This isn’t identity but staticism wh...

Fractal art and generative art: caos and order between forms and colors

When we speak about art, all of you consider classical sectors as painting, sculpture, photography and cinema without thinking that also in the programming and in the math there is the development of new artistic paths in line with the graphics and the digital art. They suppose a background of knowledge more extensive lied to mathematical algorithms and complex computer programming.  If the experience in the fractal art allowed me to extend the artistic and mathematical competences, the generative art allowed me to put in practice this competences from the point of view of programming in a different way and in relation with digital graphics.  The common vision of both arts is in the fractal formulas on which is based the study of dinamic systems, in both cases we find the caos in the algorithms and only the designer decides how sets order.  The fractals are geometric object with the character of auto-similarity as defined from the chaos theory and are described as ...

Fractal patterns and singularity: unicum and continuum, iteration and interaction

When I met fractals and fractal art, what aroused my interest were fractal patterns with their forms and geometric structure.  These graphic elements are suitable for studies on pattern in architecture and in industrial design and they have the feature of being creative pattern very artistic and useful for digital art and drawing fabric in the fashion design.  Their compositional relations, the way the form is repeated, and specially that patterns in which there are singolarity have been the object of my studies for many years before arriving at deconstructivism on digital images and in generative art.  The most interesting aspect of the fractal patterns are the variation of structure for the overlap of different structures, the iteration and interaction of the structures between them, or the optical effect of light and colors on the structures.  Among all fractal patterns my interests are focused on patterns have deformation points and show a graphic singu...
