The method 5W2H in the design and in the project management

In the context of design and project management are used methods or charts ground to proceed in consolidate way to design so to not distract the designer from main objective.  One of these is the 5W2H method that it is based on seven questions or seven pivot points on which either the project or the designer have to respond and from which it cannot escape in the design process.  The seven questions are listed below:      What      Why      Where      When      Who      How      How much  In the context where it is applied the method, we have as first point WHAT that it represents the problem to solve, a product to create or an objective to reach in the context of design, of management or of communication.  We have as secont point WHY that they are the motivations to solve or the necessities that they take to design or to reach the objectives in the conte...

Commercial brand: where do you come from and what do you represent?

In a previously post I have talked about persona branding, the brand borns and grows up with the person.  Among the things planned for artistic pseudonym there was a provision, if necessary, for a possible change of plans for others necessities of trade type. It's happened that in consequence of my entry just in the trade sector and marketing I have opted for a change of plan on brand name.  It’s born so SPAZIOFORMADSGN , a new visual identity that it has the scope to lead the artistic experimentation into trade level with graphic patterns for design.  It’s related to the official pseudonym from the root and features a contracted alteration on the last word related to the usability with technologies and platforms of marketing for which the official pseudonym as visual artist was too lenght.  The words that compose it are always the same “ SPAZIO ” “ FORMA ” “ DESIGN ” but the last word is in a contracted form “ DSGN ”.  In the evolution from architecture and art...

Abstract W | Cube City Nr 1: the background...

In the introduction to this pubblication I have pinned a series of arguments on which to write future posts. To all creatives the main request is to write about the background of own work because the author is always the better person who can explain his own work.  I begin with Abstract W | Cube City.  I have explained in a previous post that the project in the complex have to do a different thing, but as the creative coder know well with the codes not always the programming works so.  Where the cube city is born?  It’s born from the morphologic analysis and the trasformation of the cities in the time. The creative version is an artistic way to explain the techniques that in architecture and urban planning could be difficult.  The first city I have imagined is Abstract W | Cube City Nr 1, or the grid city that in urban planning is a reticulate of road layout that they intersect in a regular and ortogonal way.  I’m starting from the study of Ippodamus...

Design: the production that doesn’t forget the consumer

I have learnt from creativity and design that the market often doesn’t pursue that someone claims to know.  A clear example is in the case of economic recession when the persons tend not to spend money for superfluous expenses but reduce their purchase to essential. Not even the infamous free obtains in certain event the forecast consent as often the sector tempts exorbitant advertising, pyramidal schemes and other illegal things.  It’s happened to discover in market and marketing analysis for the pre-supply  of an artwork or design project that sometimes that you think cannot like obtains more consent rather than that you think can like.   The company that produces common objects it knows rightly the market study continues also after production and marketability of products.  The study extends what the consumer likes, the level of satisfaction of purchase and if the use of product is the same which is created and produced.  The designers sometimes l...

Fractal art and generative art: caos and order between forms and colors

When we speak about art, all of you consider classical sectors as painting, sculpture, photography and cinema without thinking that also in the programming and in the math there is the development of new artistic paths in line with the graphics and the digital art. They suppose a background of knowledge more extensive lied to mathematical algorithms and complex computer programming.  If the experience in the fractal art allowed me to extend the artistic and mathematical competences, the generative art allowed me to put in practice this competences from the point of view of programming in a different way and in relation with digital graphics.  The common vision of both arts is in the fractal formulas on which is based the study of dinamic systems, in both cases we find the caos in the algorithms and only the designer decides how sets order.  The fractals are geometric object with the character of auto-similarity as defined from the chaos theory and are described as ...

Fractal patterns and singularity: unicum and continuum, iteration and interaction

When I met fractals and fractal art, what aroused my interest were fractal patterns with their forms and geometric structure.  These graphic elements are suitable for studies on pattern in architecture and in industrial design and they have the feature of being creative pattern very artistic and useful for digital art and drawing fabric in the fashion design.  Their compositional relations, the way the form is repeated, and specially that patterns in which there are singolarity have been the object of my studies for many years before arriving at deconstructivism on digital images and in generative art.  The most interesting aspect of the fractal patterns are the variation of structure for the overlap of different structures, the iteration and interaction of the structures between them, or the optical effect of light and colors on the structures.  Among all fractal patterns my interests are focused on patterns have deformation points and show a graphic singu...
